Serenova Travel Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, please email hello@serenovatravel.co.uk or call 01487 833040.
The information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect:
- your name, and your company if you give it
- your email address and phone number
- the journey details you share with us, such as pick-up and drop-off locations, dates and times, flight details and how many people are travelling
We also keep the information you give us when you email or call us, and the details we need to arrange and carry out your journeys.
Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and the pages requested, so the website can be delivered securely. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- to arrange and provide your journeys, and to contact you about them
- to keep a record of the enquiries and bookings we receive
- to meet our legal, accounting and insurance obligations
We will not sell your information, and we will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
Our legal basis
Under UK data protection law we rely on:
- Taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing a contract: replying to your enquiry, quoting and carrying out your journeys.
- Legitimate interests: keeping records of enquiries, running our business and keeping our website secure.
- Legal obligation: keeping the records we are required to keep, for example for tax and accounting.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to, with:
- Zed Studio, the web agency that builds and maintains this website, which receives website enquiries and keeps a log of them on our behalf
- Brevo, which delivers the emails sent from our enquiry form
- Google, which provides the secure spreadsheet used to log enquiries
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and protects it from misuse
- anyone involved in carrying out your journey, only as far as they need to be
- our professional advisers, insurers, and authorities where the law requires it
These providers only use your information to provide their services to us, and they are required to keep it secure.
Information stored outside the UK
Some of our providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as countries recognised by the UK as providing adequate protection, or approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we keep it for up to two years and then delete it. If you book with us, we keep your booking records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, which is usually up to six years.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it
- object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests
- ask for your information to be transferred to you or another organisation, where this applies
To use any of these rights, email hello@serenovatravel.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. It stores one small temporary setting in your browser, which only remembers that you have already seen the opening animation during your visit and is deleted when you close the browser tab.
Keeping your information secure
We use secure, reputable services and limit access to your information to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry or journey.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
